Origin and background of the model (Lore)

The YAGR-N101 is a military vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft featured in Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. Its design is in keeping with the saga’s highly distinctive technological aesthetic, where aircraft, military installations and Evangelions coexist within a universe characterised by conflicts between rival organisations.

Its VTOL configuration theoretically allows it to take off and land without the need for a long runway, a feature particularly suited to operations carried out in complex urban or military environments.

Kotobukiya has chosen to reproduce not only the aircraft’s overall silhouette, but also its surface details and NERV markings, whilst incorporating the wing articulation as seen in the film. The kit can therefore be displayed in take-off, flight or approach modes.
