Twisted Freddy is one of the main robotic antagonists from the franchise’s second official novel, *Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Twisted Ones*, written by Scott Cawthon and Kira Breed-Wrisley in 2017. Unlike the standard animatronics at Freddy Fazbear’s pizzeria, the ‘Twisted’ versions feature a terrifying, organic and mutated design brought about by sound illusion discs hidden beneath their shells. These components directly alter the visual perception of those nearby, transforming basic robots into living monsters with razor-sharp teeth, festering, decaying flesh and asymmetrical structures. Originally designed by the sinister William Afton, Twisted Freddy is programmed to track down and capture human victims inside his own mechanical torso, embodying all the psychological anguish and terror of this cult universe.
