Rediscover Ghost Face in a take inspired by feudal Japan with this articulated figurine produced by NECA. The first release in the Shogun Horror Series collection, this version reimagines the slasher film icon by combining his famous white mask with elements reminiscent of Japanese warriors’ armour and aesthetics. 

Standing approximately 17.8 cm tall, the figure features numerous points of articulation to allow for dynamic poses. Its outfit combines stylised armour elements with a fitted fabric cape, giving the figure greater freedom of movement. Ghost Face’s traditional appearance is thus profoundly reimagined whilst retaining his instantly recognisable elongated mask.

The equipment also blends the two worlds. Ghost Face comes with two knives, including a bloodstained version, with their sheaths, as well as a katana with a saya and an imposing bisentō. An alternative head and two pairs of interchangeable hands complete the set, allowing for a variety of display configurations.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Ghost Face is, first and foremost, a visual identity built around the famous white mask with a distorted expression, owned by Fun World. The official costume traditionally combines this mask with a long, black hooded robe. This appearance was notably popularised in cinema by the Scream franchise, of which it has become one of the most recognisable symbols.

In Scream, Ghost Face does not refer to a single individual with a permanent identity: the costume and mask are adopted by different killers throughout the series. This principle allows the character to retain the same iconic silhouette whilst regularly renewing the identity and motivations of the person hidden behind the mask.

NECA’s Shogun version does not correspond to any specific incarnation from the films. It is an original reinterpretation designed for collectors, blending the modern iconography of Ghost Face with that of feudal Japanese warriors. The katana, the bisentō, the armour elements and the mask’s new silhouette thus establish an identity unique to the Shogun Horror Series range, without constituting a canonical chapter in the Scream universe.
