The character of Ghost Face is the recurring antagonist of the famous slasher franchise Scream, launched by Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson in 1996. Hidden beneath a long black robe and a ghostly white mask, the killer persecutes his victims over the phone before carrying out his deed. The figure is a direct homage to a cult pop culture scene from the Wayans brothers' parody film Scary Movie (2000). In this now cult comedy, the killer (revisited as Doofy/Bobby) sticks out a huge, hilarious tongue during a memorable telephone conversation punctuated by the line "Wazzaaa?
