Dr Hannibal Lecter is an iconic fictional character created by author Thomas Harris in the 1981 novel Red Dragon, and immortalised in the 1991 film adaptation of Jonathan Demme's psychological thriller The Silence of theLambs. A brilliant psychiatrist and refined aesthete, Lecter is also a cannibalistic serial killer of formidable intelligence. The plot of the film revolves around his detention in a high-security psychiatric hospital, where young FBI trainee Clarice Starling is sent to interrogate him. The FBI calls on her unique expertise and behavioural analysis skills to solve a complex investigation and track down another serial killer on the loose. This action figure captures the psychologist's cold, static appearance during his interrogation scenes in the cell.
