This instantly recognisable look reflects both his rebellious high-school attitude and his deep attachment to his style.

The figurine features the characteristic proportions of the Pop! collection, with an oversized head, large black eyes and a stylised body. The details of his hairstyle, the embellishments on his uniform and his determined expression make it easy to recognise the protagonist of *Diamond Is Unbreakable*, even in this deliberately simplified format.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Josuke Higashikata is the protagonist of the fourth part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, entitled Diamond Is Unbreakable. Aged 16 at the start of the story, he lives in the fictional Japanese town of Morioh with his mother, Tomoko Higashikata, and appears to lead an ordinary life as a sixth-former.

He is the illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar, the hero of *Battle Tendency* and a central character in *Stardust Crusaders*. This lineage makes Josuke a member of the Joestar family, as well as the biological uncle of Jotaro Kujo, despite their small age difference.

Josuke possesses a Stand called Crazy Diamond, renamed Shining Diamond in some international adaptations. This supernatural manifestation grants him considerable strength and speed, but above all the ability to restore objects or living beings to their previous state.

This power enables him to repair destroyed objects, heal wounds and save his allies. However, Josuke cannot use this ability to heal himself or bring a deceased person back to life. His ability can also be used offensively, notably by distorting an object before restoring it around a target.

Despite his delinquent appearance and sometimes impulsive behaviour, Josuke has a generous and protective nature. He is particularly devoted to his friends, his family and the people of Morioh.

His hairstyle, however, is an extremely sensitive subject. Josuke adopted it as a tribute to a mysterious young man who is said to have helped him when he was seriously ill as a child. Any insult directed at his hair provokes an immediate and often spectacular outburst of anger.

During *Diamond Is Unbreakable*, Josuke meets Jotaro Kujo, who reveals his connection to the Joestar family. He then finds himself caught up in a series of events linked to a bow and arrow capable of awakening Stands in those it strikes.

Together with Koichi Hirose, Okuyasu Nijimura, Rohan Kishibe and Jotaro, Josuke faces off against several Stand users before discovering the existence of Yoshikage Kira, a serial killer hiding amongst the residents of Morioh.

The fight against Kira gradually places Josuke at the centre of the town’s defence. His courage, his creativity in using Crazy Diamond and his determination to protect those around him make him the fourth main hero to carry on the Joestar legacy.
