His fate takes an irreversible turn on the day when, to save his classmates from an attack by spiritual monsters known as Cursed Spirits, he makes the desperate decision to swallow a highly cursed relic finger belonging to Ryomen Sukuna, the legendary and cruel four-armed demon. Against all cosmological expectations, Yuji does not die and manages to contain the entity, revealing that he is an ‘Vessel’ of the utmost rarity, capable of controlling the King of the Cursed Spirits. Condemned to a delayed execution by the highest authorities of the occult world, he is transferred to the Tokyo Exorcism School under the tutelage of the powerful Satoru Gojo.
