Character background and lore
Created by the mangaka kakifly, Azusa Nakano (affectionately nicknamed ‘Azu-nyan’ by her classmates because of her adorable reaction when she wears cat ears) is the only younger student to join the Sakuragaoka High School Light Music Club. An extremely talented and dedicated guitarist, she is initially thrown off balance by the laid-back attitude of her older clubmates Yui, Mio, Ritsu and Tsumugi, who spend a lot of time drinking tea and eating cakes instead of practising.However, she very quickly warms to the group’s friendly atmosphere and combines her guitar skills with Yui’s to form the instrumental heart of the band ‘Ho-kago Tea Time’ (Afternoon Tea). This figurine pays a superb tribute to this endearing and dedicated character, who left her mark on the golden age of ‘slice-of-life’ anime and continues to touch the hearts of long-standing fans. - *
