Origin and backstory of the characters (Lore)

Kirby is a little pink hero who lives on the planet Popstar, mainly in the peaceful kingdom of Dream Land. Despite his innocent appearance and love of food, he possesses remarkable power: he can suck up his opponents and, depending on the game, copy their abilities to use new powers.

Always ready to come to the aid of the inhabitants of Dream Land, Kirby faces off against hostile creatures as well as threats from space or other dimensions. His adventures are generally characterised by their colourful world, their humour and the contrast between his adorable appearance and his extraordinary abilities.

The Waddle Dees are among the most common inhabitants of Dream Land. These small orange creatures are generally peaceful, although some loyally serve King DaDiDou and may stand in Kirby’s way. They appear in many forms and fulfil different roles throughout the games.

One particular Waddle Dee, recognisable by his blue bandana and commonly known as Bandana Waddle Dee, gradually becomes one of Kirby’s key allies. Armed with a spear, he regularly accompanies the hero and can be played as a character in several adventures.
