In the 2002 Disney animated classic, Stitch (originally named Experiment 626) is an alien genetic creature programmed to destroy everything in his path. Secretly created by the mad scientist Jumba Jookiba, he escapes to Earth and lands on the island of Hawaii. There, he is adopted by Lilo, a lonely orphaned little girl, who mistakes him for a dog. Through the fundamental concept of ‘Ohana’ — which means that no one should be left behind or forgotten — Lilo teaches Stitch about love, loyalty and family life. Tamed by this unprecedented affection, the destructive monster is transformed into a devoted protector.
