Character background and universe (Lore)

Takina Inoue is one of the two main protagonists of Lycoris Recoil. A highly competent young Lycoris agent, she stands out at the start of the series for her serious, disciplined nature and her strong commitment to the success of missions.

Following an incident that upends her career at Direct Attack, Takina is transferred to the LycoReco café, where she teams up with Chisato Nishikigi. Their meeting marks a significant turning point for her: through her time with Chisato, who is far more spontaneous and optimistic, Takina gradually learns to place greater importance on human relationships and the simple pleasures of everyday life.

An expert in combat and particularly accurate with firearms, Takina has a methodical approach that perfectly complements Chisato’s unpredictable style. Their partnership thus forms the emotional and narrative heart of the series.
