This mystical vow initially grants her powers of illusion, but when her father discovers the supernatural origin of her success, he rejects his daughter and destroys his own family. Traumatised by this tragedy, Kyoko abandons all idealism to adopt a strictly self-centred philosophy, refusing to use her magic for others and fighting solely for her own survival. Armed with adaptable environments and a segmented retractable spear, she conceals a deep empathy behind her cynical demeanour, making this solitary warrior an indispensable figure whose ultimate sacrifice illustrates the desperate quest for redemption within the Incubators’ system.
