Origin and character’s universe

In the futuristic Marvel 2099 universe, the Hulk is actually John Eisenhart, a corrupt film producer living in Hollywood. When he sends the police after the Knights of Banner, an organisation that worships the original Hulk, the intervention triggers a burst of gamma energy. John is then transformed into a new incarnation of the Hulk.

This version differs from Bruce Banner’s Hulk in that he has a more predatory appearance. He has green skin, claws, particularly prominent fangs and a build that is more reminiscent of a wild creature than a mere humanoid giant. The official Marvel website places the character on Earth-928, within the Marvel 2099 universe.
