Character background and universe (Lore)

Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s most famous superheroes. Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, he first appeared in 1962 in Amazing Fantasy #15.

Behind the mask lies Peter Parker, a young man who gains superhuman abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider. In particular, he develops exceptional strength and agility, the ability to cling to walls, and a sense of danger known as the Spider-Sense.

Following the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter realises that he must use his powers responsibly. This realisation becomes the guiding principle of his life as a hero.
