Character background and universe (Lore)

Black Panther is the title held by the ruler and protector of Wakanda, a technologically advanced African nation whose power rests in part on its vast reserves of vibranium.

The character is primarily associated with T’Challa, heir to the throne of Wakanda. As the Black Panther, he combines exceptional physical conditioning, great combat skill and the technological resources developed by his kingdom. His suit and various weapons make extensive use of the properties of vibranium, a fictional metal capable of absorbing and redistributing energy.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Black Panther first appeared in *Fantastic Four* #52 in 1966 and gradually became one of the major heroes of the Marvel Universe.

This edition takes on an extra dimension thanks to the Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes crossover. Here, Hasbro combines the world of Marvel Legends figures with the famous card game from Wizards of the Coast, including an exclusive foil card that comes directly with Black Panther.
