Origin and character background (Lore)

Naruto Uzumaki is a ninja from the Hidden Village of Konoha. Shortly after his birth, the nine-tailed fox demon, Kurama, was sealed within his body to protect the village. This situation makes Naruto a jinchūriki and grants him access to a vast reserve of chakra, but it also leads to him being ostracised for much of his childhood.

When his emotions become too intense, Kurama’s chakra can envelop his body and gradually alter his appearance and behaviour. This energy greatly increases his strength and speed, whilst risking him losing control. Over the course of his journey, however, Naruto learns to understand Kurama and gradually transforms their conflict-ridden relationship into a true alliance.
