Character background and lore

Charlotte Linlin, nicknamed Big Mom, is one of the most powerful pirates in the One Piece universe. Captain ofthe Big Mom Pirates and matriarch of the vast Charlotte family, she has long ruled over part of the New World as one of the Four Emperors.

Endowed with extraordinary physical strength from childhood, Big Mom also possesses the powers of the Soru Soru no Mi, a Devil Fruit that allows her to manipulate souls. Thanks to this ability, she can transfer fragments of souls into objects or natural elements to create beings known as Homies.
