Origin and character background

Tony Tony Chopper is the doctor of the Straw Hat Crew. This blue-nosed reindeer ate the Human-Human Fruit, which gave him the ability to speak, reason and take on different forms. Inspired by Dr Hiluluk and later trained by Dr Kureha, he dreams of becoming a doctor capable of curing all illnesses.

Despite his endearing appearance and sometimes naive personality, Chopper possesses a solid knowledge of medicine and plays an active part in the crew’s battles thanks to his transformations.
