Origin and character’s universe

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is an anime series with a visual style heavily inspired by Western cartoons. It follows two angels expelled from heaven due to their behaviour and sent to Daten City under the supervision of Reverend Garterbelt.

To regain their place in heaven, Panty and Stocking must eliminate supernatural creatures known as Ghosts. Each victory earns them Heaven Coins, which are necessary for their redemption.

Stocking is the younger of the pair. Calmer and more reserved in temperament than her sister Panty, she is particularly known for her gothic appearance, her keen taste for pastries and her dark sense of humour.

In battle, Stocking can transform her stockings into two sabres called Stripes I and Stripes II. This ability contrasts with her generally composed demeanour and reveals her to be a swift, precise and particularly formidable fighter.
