The charismatic Joker joins Kotobukiya’s OSHI WORKS collection with this figurine inspired by the video game Persona 5 Royal. Depicted in his black Phantom Thief outfit, the leader of the Phantom Thieves strikes a calm and confident pose that highlights his elegance, determination and mysterious aura.

Joker is depicted holding his famous white mask in one hand, his gaze fixed straight ahead. His long black jacket, red gloves and boots have been meticulously reproduced to capture the key details of his burglar’s outfit. The contrasting paintwork particularly highlights the dark shades of his outfit and the character’s signature red accents.

Measuring approximately 21.5 cm in height, this pre-painted figurine offers a presence similar to that of a scale model, whilst retaining the accessible size typical of the OSHI WORKS range. This collection emphasises detailed sculpting, meticulous painted finishes and standardised square bases, making it easy to display multiple characters side by side.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Persona 5 Royal follows a group of secondary school pupils capable of entering a supernatural world known as the Metaverse. In this world, the corrupt desires of certain people take the form of vast palaces. By stealing the symbolic treasure hidden at the heart of these places, the heroes can bring about a change of heart in their owners.

The game’s protagonist is a teenager who has moved to Tokyo after being unfairly sentenced to a period of probation. Living at Café Leblanc and attending Shujin Academy, he tries to lead a low-key life despite the mistrust of those around him.

After discovering the Metaverse alongside Ryuji Sakamoto, he awakens the power of his Persona, Arsène. Under the codename Joker, he becomes the leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts and leads their operations against adults whose ambitions and abuses threaten others.

Joker belongs to a special category of users capable of mastering multiple Personas. This ability, known as Wild Card, allows him to adapt his powers to different situations and to create new Personas through the bonds he forms with his Confidants.

In the Metaverse, Joker wears a long black coat, red gloves and a white mask. The mask symbolises the façade imposed by society, but also the liberation of his rebellious personality when he rips it off to summon his Persona. His calm demeanour and natural sense of leadership contrast with the acrobatic and theatrical moves he employs during infiltration missions.

As the adventure unfolds, Joker and the Phantom Thieves progress from small-scale local operations to a battle against a threat capable of manipulating society as a whole. Persona 5 Royal also enriches his journey with new allies, new events and an additional chapter that challenges the boundaries between happiness, freedom and reality.
