History and background of the model
The character of the puppet Billy was created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell for the first film in the Saw franchise, released in 2004. Used by the Jigsaw Killer (Jigsaw / John Kramer), this terrifying ventriloquist with a white face, red spirals on his cheeks and dark eyes acts as an intermediary to deliver the sadistic rules of his ‘games’ to the victims.
