Amy Rose, originally known as Rosy the Rascal when she first appeared in the 1993 video game Sonic CD, is an anthropomorphic hedgehog who is madly in love with the famous blue hedgehog, Sonic. A strong character, optimistic and unfailingly determined, she quickly established herself as a central pillar of the gang. Although she spends a lot of time chasing Sonic around trying to win his heart, Amy is a formidable fighter who her friends can always count on. Her weapon of choice is the Piko Piko Hammer, a powerful giant magic hammer that she can instantly materialise to crush the robots of the Badnik army and protect those she loves.
