Miles Prower, more commonly known as Tails, is a young anthropomorphic fox with two tails from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise created by Japanese company Sega. He first appeared in 1992 in the game Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and quickly established himself as Sonic the Hedgehog's best friend, loyal teammate and indispensable ally. With his two tails acting like helicopter blades, Tails has the unique ability to fly and glide through the air. In addition to his physical abilities, he has a very high intelligence quotient and exceptional mechanical genius, enabling him to design and pilot various technological vehicles to thwart Doctor Eggman's plans for conquest.
