Spider-Man’s origins and universe (Lore)

Spider-Man is the heroic alter ego of Peter Parker, a young New Yorker who gains extraordinary abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider. In particular, he develops superhuman strength and agility, the ability to cling to surfaces, and a special sense that warns him of imminent danger.
