After brilliant studies at Starfleet Academy, he joined the crew of the USS Enterprise-D under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Initially the ship's pilot, his exceptional technical skills and logical thinking quickly earned him the strategic position of Chief Engineer. Bound by a deep and unshakeable friendship with the android Data, whom he helps to understand humanity, Geordi is the technical heart of the crew, capable of solving the most complex space anomalies to save his ship.
