The model incorporates the graphic and stylistic proportions characteristic of the Funko POP! range, combining an oversized head with a reduced body. The collectible statuette meticulously recreates the character's characteristic appearance, highlighting his expressive bald face and serious posture as the ship's doctor. The Doctor is shown wearing his official Starfleet uniform with the blue-grey sections associated with the Department of Science and Medicine, complemented by his communication badges. Initially programmed as a simple Type I Emergency Medical Hologram (EMH) by Doctor Lewis Zimmerman, the Doctor was activated on the USS Voyager following the tragic death of all the original medical staff when the ship was blasted into the remote and unexplored Delta Quadrant. Initially designed for short interventions, it was forced to operate on a permanent basis. As the years went by and system failures were avoided, his programme expanded in an exceptional way. He develops complex personality traits, a passion for opera and photography, and a deep desire to be recognised as a living being with full civil rights. Thanks to the acquisition of a 19th-century autonomous mobile transmitter, he can finally leave sickbay to explore new worlds alongside the crew of Captain Kathryn Janeway.
