Character background and universe (Lore)

There Is Also a Hole in the Student Organisation!, originally titled Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru!, is a school comedy by Muchimaro serialised in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The story follows Ume Mizunoe, a first-year student who is particularly gifted in literature but struggles greatly with science subjects. In order to improve his academic record and avoid having to repeat the year, he joins the student council at Fujinari Private High School, where he discovers a group of members with particularly quirky personalities. An anime adaptation is scheduled to begin in October 2026.

Hisako Kotobuki is a third-year high school student and serves as president of the student council. The official website describes her as a charismatic president, whose personality also has a comical side that is more unexpected than her serious demeanour would suggest. English is listed as her favourite subject and her favourite dish is marinated fried aubergine. In the animated adaptation, she is voiced by Haruka Shiraishi.

The BiCute Bunnies collection offers an alternative interpretation of Hisako here, far removed from her usual school uniform.
