Character background and universe (Lore)

Starscream is one of the most famous Decepticons in the Transformers universe. In the classic storyline, he is generally portrayed as an ambitious lieutenant of Megatron, constantly on the lookout for an opportunity to overthrow his leader and take control of the Decepticons.

The Shattered Glass universe, however, presents an alternative reality in which the traditional roles are reversed. In this universe, the Autobots are portrayed as tyrannical conquerors, whilst the Decepticons become a resistance faction seeking to oppose their domination.

In this continuity, Starscream therefore takes on a personality and role very different from his usual incarnation. Rather than being defined solely by his ambition and his desire to betray Megatron, he belongs to the camp of the heroic Decepticons and takes part in their struggle against the Autobots of this parallel universe.

This reinterpretation makes Shattered Glass Starscream a particularly original take on the character, whilst retaining the fundamental elements that make Starscream instantly recognisable: the silhouette of an aerial fighter, his transformation into a jet, and his central role amongst the Cybertronian forces.
