Stranger Things
Stranger Things is the story of a group of young boys who discover that their world is not the only one and that psychic powers are not part of fantasy stories. When Will Byers is transported to a parallel universe where a monster ready to kill him reigns, his friends will do anything to find him.

Will's story
The story begins in a small town called Hawkins in Indiana, USA during the 80s. Will Byers is a shy and reserved young boy who likes to play Dungeons and Dragons with his three friends; Mike, Dustin and Lucas. One evening in November 1983, the four friends play their favourite game in Mike's basement. During the game, Mike summons a Demogorgon that defeats Will's character. While they are in the middle of the game, Mike's mother points out to the kids that it was late and that it was time for them to go home.
Will, Lucas and Dustin get on their bikes and head for home respectively. Will ends up alone after a race against Dustin. Suddenly, the light on his bike flickers and goes out. When it turns back on, Will is confronted by a humanoid monster that has appeared in the night. Frightened, the young man leaves the road and falls off his bike.
Will then runs home to find his mother and brother in his house. When he arrives, however, no one is there. In an uncertain hope, he tries to pick up the phone to call for help, but the door inexplicably unlocks in front of the boy. Panicked, Will runs to the shed and loads a gun to protect himself. Stunned by the creature that is none other than the Demogorgon, Will hesitates for a moment and shoots the creature while the lights keep going off and on.
Will doesn't immediately understand what is happening to him, he is actually transported to another dimension, also known as the "upside down world", where the Demogorgon lives. For a week, the young man manages to hide from the still living creature in this other dimension where only the voice of his mother, Joyce, seems to reach him. The young man tries at all costs to make contact with his mother, to let her know that he is alive, although the world he is in is invisible to his loved ones.
Although the entire town of Hawkins believes Will is dead, Joyce remains hopeful and desperate to find her missing child. Even after the discovery of a body, presumed to be Will's, Joyce is undeterred, and with the help of her friend Jim Hopper, the local police chief, she will do anything to get her boy back.
Will manages to communicate with his mother and friends using the electrical circuits in his house, flickering the lights and turning on the radio. But how do you respond to him? How do we know where Will is? Left to his own devices, Will will cling to happy memories with family and friends to keep from falling into despair and madness, while doing everything he can to avoid crossing paths with the Demogorgon. The young teenager knows he is not safe and does not know how he can get home.
The story of Eleven
Parallel to this story is a young girl, called Eleven. This name comes from the number tattooed on her wrist. Mike, Dustin and Lucas meet the girl who seems confused and alone. Eleven has actually escaped from a secret laboratory where scientists are conducting experiments on children with special abilities. Indeed, the girl has psychokinesis powers.
Jim Hopper, chief of police, decides to adopt the teenager whom he sees as a reflection of what he once lost. Indeed, the man had been living alone since the untimely death of his daughter and the departure of his wife. He therefore welcomes Eleven as a new chance in his life. He wants to protect Eleven at all costs and prevent the scientists from finding him.
The teenage gang hopes that the girl, with her unusual abilities, can find their friend Will.
