Nakayama Festa is a rebellious Umamusume, described as a player who is passionate about situations where everything can change in an instant. Having long been unmotivated, she discovers the thrill of competition thanks to the advice of a former teacher and throws herself wholeheartedly into racing. She prefers to live life to the full and tends to lose interest in situations she considers too predictable.

Behind her provocative attitude, however, lies a personality that values simple, sincere human relationships. With little interest in modern trends, she particularly enjoys working-class neighbourhoods and chance encounters. Like the other heroines of *Umamusume: Pretty Derby*, she is modelled on a real racehorse and is pursuing her own dream at Tracen Academy.
