Rice Shower is an Umamusume studying at Tracen Academy. Shy, reserved and often convinced that she brings misfortune to those around her, she lacks self-confidence despite her remarkable racing abilities. Above all, she aspires to become a racehorse capable of bringing joy to the public rather than disappointing her rivals’ supporters.

Her name and backstory are inspired by the real-life Japanese racehorse Rice Shower. Within the series’ universe, her journey highlights her perseverance, her sensitivity and the efforts she makes to overcome her negative self-image. Her blue rose, her dark colours and her unassuming nature all contribute to her instantly recognisable identity.
