Origin and background of the character
Stone Cold Steve Austin (real name Steve Anderson), also known as "The Texas Rattlesnake", is one of the most important and lucrative figures in the history of professional wrestling. An absolute icon of the famous WWF/WWE "Attitude Era" in the late 1990s, he made a name for himself as an anti-authority rebel, constantly defying his boss Vince McMahon. Recognisable by his shaved head, black leather waistcoat and legendary taunts, Austin won multiple world championships and made history with his finishing move, the "Stone Cold Stunner". Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, he remains an iconic figure in global pop culture and sports entertainment.
