ARCANADEA - XenoAlma Orage Pavorea - Model Kit 10cm

Discover Orage Pavorea, a fantastical mechanical creature from Arcanadea’s XenoAlma range, with this model kit from Kotobukiya. Once assembled, the model measures approximately 10 cm and can be configured in two different ways: in Monster Mode, as a standalone creature, or in Weapon Mode, to serve as weaponry and armour components for characters from the Arcanadea range.

Based on a design by illustrator Toshiaki Takayama, Orage Pavorea features a silhouette inspired by a majestic bird, with four translucent milky-blue wings and a long tail reminiscent of a peacock’s plumage. The feathers, in particular, utilise a moulded colour with a polarising effect, which changes appearance slightly depending on the viewing angle.

The various parts can be rearranged to form several types of equipment, including a large bow, a staff or even a fan. The joints built into the wings and legs also allow for a variety of poses in Monster Mode. Thanks to the 3 mm universal joints, the kit can be combined with Arcanadea figures as well as several other original Kotobukiya ranges.

Origin and background of the model (Lore)

Arcanadea is an original Kotobukiya range blending fantasy and science fiction. Its universe is set in the near future, where the discovery of the mysterious Arcana Particles leads to the development of Eden, a vast virtual reality environment housing the fantastical world of Arcanadea. However, events linked to this technology eventually cause supernatural creatures and characters known as Dears to appear in the real world.

XenoAlma is an expansion of this universe centred on creatures capable of transforming into weapons or armour. Unlike traditional Dears, a XenoAlma can function as an autonomous entity in Monster Mode, then be dismantled and reconfigured into Weapon Mode to equip other characters in the range.

Orage Pavorea’s appearance is directly inspired by the peacock, with its large wings, train of feathers and iridescent effects. This ethereal quality is also reflected in its various weapon configurations, which favour elegant silhouettes such as the bow, staff or fan.

Thanks to its transformation system, its articulation and its compatibility with 3 mm joints, Orage Pavorea is as much a display piece as it is a customisation kit that expands the possibilities of the Arcanadea models and other original Kotobukiya series.
