ARCANADEA - Yukumo First Engage - Model Kit 16cm

Discover Yukumo First Engage Ver., a new version of the character from Kotobukiya’s Arcanadea range. Designed to be more accessible and easier to assemble than the standard edition, this non-scale model kit stands approximately 16 cm tall when assembled and retains all the visual characteristics of the animal-themed Dears.

This First Engage Ver. edition features reworked part cut-outs to make assembly easier, whilst improving several joints. In particular, the elbows now feature a double joint, the knees have been redesigned to look more natural when bent, and the shins now feature a front/rear split to make the assembly lines less visible. Two faces with pre-printed eyes also feature the design inspired by the animated adaptation.

Yukumo comes with several accessories, including five pairs of interchangeable hands, her signature staff with movable rings, and a dedicated display stand. This version focuses on Normal Mode to simplify the assembly process; however, Wilize Mode can be recreated by combining certain parts with the standard version of Yukumo.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Yukumo belongs to Arcanadea, an original universe developed by Kotobukiya that blends science fiction and fantasy. The range features beings known as Dears, who originate from the world of Arcanadea and are bound to their human partners through the concept of ‘Engage’.

Yukumo is an animal-type Dear whose design combines traditional Japanese elements with fantastical features. Her appearance notably includes animal ears and a tail, as well as a shimenawa – a sacred rope from Shinto tradition – which plays a major part in her visual identity.

The First Engage version presents the character in a more accessible style, with a simplified design and a Normal Mode appearance directly inspired by the new animated adaptation. Certain elements, such as the tail and the shimenawa, have been reworked to better suit this design.

With her blend of traditional Japanese motifs, fantasy and technology, Yukumo perfectly embodies the spirit of Arcanadea.
