Discover Reiner Braun and his Armoured Titan form brought together in this Funko POP! Animation No. 2552 figurine from Attack on Titan. This Split edition depicts both facets of the character in a single sculpture, combining his human appearance with that of one of the Nine Titans. The figurine stands approximately 10.2 cm tall.

Character background and lore

Reiner Braun is a member of the 104th Training Battalion and initially comes across as a reliable and protective soldier, particularly respected by his comrades. Behind this façade, however, lies a Warrior of Marley sent to Paradise Island to carry out a mission linked to the powers of the Titans. He is the bearer of the Armoured Titan, one of the Nine Titans.

The Armoured Titan is characterised by skin covered in extremely hard plates resembling actual armour. This protection gives him exceptional durability and allows him to act as a veritable ‘shield’ on the battlefield. The anime’s official website also states that it is capable of deflecting the blades used by soldiers and that it measures approximately 15 metres in the series.

Reiner plays a decisive role following the fall of Wall Maria, when the Armoured Titan smashes through the inner gate of Shiganshina after the Colossal Titan’s intervention. His true identity remains hidden for a long time until he reveals to Eren that he himself is the Armoured Titan, leading to a direct confrontation between the two former comrades.

The ‘Split’ concept of this POP! No. 2552 precisely illustrates this fundamental duality of the character by bringing together Reiner Braun and the Armoured Titan in a single representation, placing his identity as both a warrior and a Titan holder at the heart of the design.
