Character background and universe (Lore)

Guts is the protagonist of Berserk, the dark fantasy series created by Kentaro Miura. A warrior of extraordinary strength and willpower, he travels through a world ravaged by war, demons and supernatural phenomena, armed with his gigantic Dragon Slayer sword.

The Berserker Armour is one of the most powerful – but also one of the most dangerous – pieces of equipment he uses. It allows the wearer to transcend the natural limits of their body, notably by eliminating the sensation of pain and enabling them to continue fighting despite injuries that would normally stop them.

However, this power comes at a considerable cost. The armour amplifies Guts’ rage and destructive instincts, bringing him closer to the Beast of Darkness – the manifestation of the hatred and violence that lie dormant within him. Under its influence, the very appearance of the armour transforms, taking on a far more bestial form.

The BLOOD EDITION of this Nendoroid specifically emphasises this savage aspect of the character through blood-stained detailing applied to the armour and his equipment.
