Origin and background of the character

Berserk is a dark fantasy series following the journey of Guts, a warrior scarred by a life of battle, loss and confrontations with supernatural forces.

Void is one of the five members of the Hand of God, a group of demonic entities occupying a central place in the astral world of Berserk. He is distinguished by his particularly enigmatic appearance and his calm, ceremonial demeanour.

During the Eclipse, Void plays a major role in the ritual that leads Griffith to abandon his humanity and be reborn as Femto. His presence is thus directly linked to one of the most decisive and tragic events in the story.

Void is also associated with the Beherits, the laws of causality and the ceremonies that bring about the appearance of the Hand of God. Unlike more expressive members such as Slan or Ubik, he generally acts with great restraint, which reinforces his aura as a spiritual leader and ritual figure.
