Origin and character lore

Dancouga is the main super robot from *Dancouga: Super Beast Machine God*, a Japanese animated series that first aired in the 1980s. It is one of the most powerful weapons used by the team tasked with defending Earth against invasion by the Muge Zorbados Empire.

The robot is formed by combining several Beast Machines, piloted by different members of the team. These units utilise a specialised system capable of channelling their pilots’ animal instincts and aggression to significantly enhance their combat performance.

The Powered-Up Wing configuration further enhances Dancouga’s capabilities by providing it with additional back-mounted equipment, designed to improve its mobility and offensive potential. Visually, this configuration also gives the robot a much more imposing and spectacular silhouette.
