Junko Enoshima Figurine ‘15th Anniversary Ver.’ — Danganronpa — Good Smile Company — 1/7 — 28 cm
Celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the Danganronpa series with this impressive Junko Enoshima figurine designed by Good Smile Company. Crafted on a 1/7 scale and standing approximately 28 cm tall, this commemorative edition depicts the Ultimate Fashionista atop a spectacular display featuring several of the franchise’s iconic symbols and punishments.
Junko is depicted seated in a theatrical pose, with one leg raised and her upper body slightly tilted. Her broad smile, confident gaze and the position of her hands perfectly capture her provocative nature. Her long blonde hair, styled into two voluminous plaits, has been sculpted and shaded to recreate the depth of the original artwork.
The figurine features her iconic outfit, comprising an open black jacket, a white shirt, a red tie, a dark pleated skirt and long boots. The Monokuma-shaped accessories in her hair, the metallic details and the varied textures of her clothing are brought to life by particularly intricate painting.
Junko is accompanied by Monokuma, depicted holding a wooden mallet, ready to press a button. Monomi, meanwhile, appears below in a particularly perilous situation. These two mascots reinforce the contrast between the composition’s colourful and alluring appearance and the cruel atmosphere characteristic of the games in the series.
The plinth serves as a veritable retrospective of Danganronpa. It incorporates elements inspired by several famous executions and punishments, notably *Blast Off!*, *Blast Off! Second Ignition*, *The Burning of the Versailles Witch* and *Please Insert Coin*. Small Monokubs are also hidden within the scenery, encouraging collectors to examine every part of the piece closely.

Character background and lore
Junko Enoshima is a pupil at Hope’s Peak Academy, publicly presented as the Ultimate Fashionista. Thanks to her knowledge of fashion trends, her carefully crafted appearance and her exuberant personality, she has gained immense popularity with the public.
Behind this alluring image, however, lies one of the main culprits behind the despair plaguing the Danganronpa universe. Endowed with exceptional analytical skills, Junko quickly grows bored of predictable situations and seeks out emotions intense enough to escape her boredom. She ultimately finds this stimulation in despair, which she seeks to provoke both in herself and in others.
Junko uses Monokuma, a black-and-white robotic bear, as her avatar and master of ceremonies for the murder games. Monokuma locks students away in a sealed room and forces them to kill one of their classmates without being discovered. After each murder, a class trial is held to identify the culprit.
When a murderer is unmasked, Monokuma organises a spectacular execution tailored to their talent or personality. These punishments blend black humour, absurd staging and violence, becoming one of the franchise’s most striking visual elements.
Monomi, also known as Usami, serves as a more benevolent counterpart to Monokuma. She tries to encourage friendship and cooperation amongst the participants, but is regularly humiliated or destroyed by the robotic bear. Her presence on the plinth thus highlights the constant clash between hope and despair.
The composition of this anniversary edition directly encapsulates Junko’s role in the saga. She commands the scene with confidence, whilst Monokuma operates the mechanisms and various elements serve as reminders of the punishments meted out throughout the games. The piece as a whole presents Junko not merely as a character, but as the architect of the chaos that defines Danganronpa.
