Discover Giyu Tomioka, the Water Pillars from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, in a particularly charming interpretation with this Noodle Stopper figurine from the CRAFTHOLIC collaboration, produced by FuRyu. Standing approximately 13 cm tall, this figurine moves away from the slayer’s usual battle stance in favour of a more relaxed pose, blending Giyu with the colourful and laid-back world of the Japanese brand CRAFTHOLIC.

Giyu is depicted in a seated position, in keeping with the concept of the Noodle Stopper range. He is accompanied by Rab, CRAFTHOLIC’s iconic long-eared rabbit, whose design incorporates graphic elements reminiscent of the character’s famous two-tone haori. This pairing creates a deliberate contrast between the Water Pillars’ reserved nature and CRAFTHOLIC’s soft, playful aesthetic.

Like FuRyu’s other Noodle Stopper figurines, this model is designed to be placed on the edge of a shelf, desk or container, with the legs extending beyond the base. Made from PVC / ATBC-PVC, the figurine measures approximately 13 cm and is an officially licensed Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba product.

Character background and lore

Giyu Tomioka is one of the Hashira, the highest-ranking fighters in the Demon Slayer Corps. He holds the title of Water Hashira and is characterised by his calm, reserved and particularly stoic demeanour. He is also the one who meets Tanjiro Kamado at the start of the story and guides him towards the Demon Slayer Corps.

Behind his aloof demeanour, Giyu harbours a deep sense of guilt linked to his past, particularly regarding his friend Sabito. As the story unfolds, he gradually learns to accept his place amongst the Hashira and to live up to the hopes placed in him. His fighting style is based on the Breath of Water, the various forms of which he masters with great precision.

CRAFTHOLIC, meanwhile, is a universe of characters created in 2008 by the Japanese designer Ikuko Yamamoto. Among its mascots is Rab, a long-eared rabbit featured in numerous patterns and colours. This collaboration therefore presents Giyu in a much more relaxed light than his usual appearance, by combining his visual identity with Rab’s soft, graphic design.
