Others: The first Evangelion to enter production and the first 'mecha' for Oniri Creations, the Evangelion of the Second Children, Asuka Langley Sohryu, Eva-02, arrives as a statue! Ready to do battle with the angel Gaghiel, the statue represents Unit-02 during its first activation on the open sea in episode 8 of the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. Although she was not yet equipped with her firearms at the time, Eva-02 still had her Progressive Knife, which can be seen in her alternate arm.

Only 550 of the statue will be produced worldwide, and it will come with a certificate of authenticity and assembly instructions.

For our first EVA, we wanted to give the statue as much dynamism as possible, through the position of the Eva, the movement of the waves and of course the cape, which adds real movement to the whole.

For Eva-02, the aim was to create the most faithful version possible, so it was sculpted using the original references from the anime series and painted using an official Gaia Evangelion Color Series paint. We opted for a satin paint finish in keeping with the tone of the series, and the military use of these robots. Reflections are barely hinted at in the anime, and a glossy finish would have been out of keeping with the original series.

The aircraft carrier is teeming with detail, with missile launchers, turrets, anchors and even a fighter plane in full fall following Eva's jump onto the carrier. You can also see the impact of Eva's feet on the launch pad.

Particular attention was paid to the movement of the waves, which were created by a special effects specialist.

Finally, the black base is decorated with motifs that can be found in the series, and ends with a red border that recalls the main colour of Eva-02.
