Origin and character lore

David is one of the main vampires in *The Lost Boys*, a cult film released in 1987. Charismatic, provocative and mysterious, he leads a group of young vampires living around the coastal town of Santa Carla. His look, personality and role in the film have helped make him one of the most recognisable figures in 1980s vampire cinema.

La Llorona has its origins in a famous Latin American legend about the ghost of a weeping woman. The character has been adapted for the screen on numerous occasions and is part of the Warner Bros. horror universe.

Regan is the young girl at the centre of *The Exorcist*, one of the most influential films in the history of horror cinema. Her demonic possession and the ensuing exorcism scenes have become major landmarks of the genre.

Finally, Pennywise is one of the forms taken by the supernatural entity in *It*. Under his clownish guise, he preys on his victims’ fears and has become one of the most famous icons of contemporary horror.
