The statuette perfectly captures the nightmarish appearance of the Springwood Killer. It reproduces his severely charred and burnt skin, his worn brown fedora hat and his famous red and green striped woollen jumper. Created by horror master Wes Craven in the cult 1984 film, Freddy Krueger is a child killer from the town of Springwood who was burnt alive by the victims' parents who came to take the law into their own hands. Now back from the dead in the form of a demonic spirit, he stalks and murders the surviving teenagers directly inside their own nightmares. The terrifying feature of his powers is that any injury or death suffered in the dream world is instantly reflected in reality. He has become one of the greatest icons of pop culture and slasher cinema, cruelly revelling in the fears of his prey before pouncing on them.
