Character’s origin and backstory (Lore)

Lock is one of the three mischievous children of Halloween Town in *The Nightmare Before Christmas*, a film conceived by Tim Burton and directed by Henry Selick. Together with Shock and Barrel, he forms an inseparable trio known for their love of pranks and mischief.

The three characters work for Oogie Boogie, whom they regard as their leader. They play a particularly important role when Jack Skellington entrusts them with the mission to kidnap Father Christmas, a task they carry out with far too much enthusiasm.

Lock is generally portrayed as the most impulsive and provocative member of the group. His red devil costume perfectly reflects his mischievous temperament and his penchant for chaotic situations.
