Beauty and the Beast — POP! Town No. 52 Castle with Belle

Recreate the magic of the famous Disney tale with this POP! Town No. 52 Castle with Belle set, inspired by the animated film Beauty and the Beast. Designed by Funko, this set combines a standalone Belle figure with a detailed replica of the Beast’s castle in the midst of its transformation.

Belle is depicted in her blue outfit, worn for much of the film’s opening. Her simple dress is paired with a white long-sleeved blouse and a dark blue cape that falls down behind her shoulders. Her brown shoes and long auburn hair complete a look directly inspired by her life in the village and her arrival at the castle.

The young woman strikes a calm pose, her hands clasped in front of her. A strand of hair falls across the centre of her forehead, whilst her wavy hair frames her face and flows freely down her back.

The castle forms the centrepiece of the composition. Its numerous towers, sculpted façades and pink roofs recreate the fantastical architecture of the Beast’s estate in a compact form. The lower section retains dark tones, dominated by grey and blue, whilst the upper levels gradually take on brighter colours.

The display rests on an elongated base to ensure its stability. The staircases, doors, windows, cylindrical turrets, chimneys and various roof types create a rich silhouette, designed to be viewed from multiple angles. The images also show the emblem of the 35th anniversary of Beauty and the Beast on the packaging.

The Belle figurine measures approximately 9.9 cm, whilst the castle stands approximately 16.8 cm tall. Both pieces are made of vinyl and can be arranged freely side by side.

Origin and backstory of Belle and the castle (Lore)

Belle is a cultured and independent young woman who lives in a small village with her father, Maurice. Passionate about reading, she dreams of discovering faraway lands and refuses to accept the predetermined life that Gaston seeks to impose on her.

When Maurice gets lost in the forest, he finds refuge in a huge, isolated castle. The lord of the castle, a creature known as the Beast, takes him prisoner. Belle finds her father and agrees to take his place in order to secure his freedom. Disney thus presents Belle as a courageous heroine who strikes a bargain with the Beast before gradually learning to look beyond his appearance.

The castle once belonged to an arrogant prince. After he refused to take in a stranger seeking shelter, she revealed herself to be an enchantress and transformed him into the Beast. The servants are also turned into animated objects, whilst the entire estate is shrouded in a cold and eerie atmosphere.

On her arrival, Belle discovers a vast building, filled with dark corridors and forbidden rooms. Despite her captivity, she gradually befriends Lumière, Big Ben, Madame Samovar, Zip and the other enchanted inhabitants.

Her relationship with the Beast begins amid fear and conflict. At first, the prince tries to command her obedience through anger, but Belle refuses to submit to his authority. After he saves her life during a wolf attack, she tends to his wounds and begins to perceive a more sensitive personality behind his monstrous appearance.

The castle undergoes a symbolic transformation alongside their relationship. Initially dark, cold and almost abandoned, it gradually regains light, music and life. In particular, the servants organise a grand dinner for Belle, then encourage the two characters to grow closer.

When Belle finally declares her love for the Beast, the curse is lifted. The prince regains his human form, the servants return to their original forms, and the castle is restored. The colourful transformation depicted by this POP! Town set corresponds precisely to this moment of rebirth.

The set thus brings together the two main themes of the story: Belle, whose compassion enables her to see beyond appearances, and the castle, whose transition from shadow to light embodies the Beast’s inner transformation.
