Origin and world of the character (Lore)
In the cult 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, is a young journalism graduate with serious ambitions who unexpectedly lands a job as an assistant at Runway, the world's most prestigious fashion magazine run by the redoubtable Miranda Priestly. Initially uninterested in fashion trends and criticised for her ordinary style of dress, Andy has to cope with an exhausting work schedule and the impossible demands of her boss. The figurine with her book recalls her early days at the magazine, when she tried to prove her worth through her intellect before agreeing to adapt to the rigorous aesthetic codes of haute couture.
