Discover Huo Qubing, reimagined as a spectacular mecha warrior in this MNP-XH21A model kit from Motor Nuclear. Taken from the Legend of Star General series, this model is inspired by the famous general of the Western Han dynasty and reimagines his image as a cavalry commander in a richly detailed mechanical armour.

Once assembled, the kit stands approximately 23 cm tall and combines ABS, POM and zinc alloy parts. Its highly articulated structure allows for numerous dynamic poses, whilst the metal components enhance the overall stability.

Character background and lore

Huo Qubing is a major historical figure of the Western Han dynasty. A general in the service of Emperor Han Wudi, he is renowned for his particularly swift cavalry campaigns and his victories against the Xiongnu, who threatened the empire’s northern borders.

Motor Nuclear draws inspiration from this image of a young, victorious commander to create an original mecha interpretation. The heavy armour, Chinese-inspired motifs and imposing arsenal visually convey his status as a military leader and his historical association with the cavalry.

The ‘Legend of Star General’ range is based precisely on this principle: reimagining famous military figures from Chinese history as articulated mechanical warriors, combining historical references, traditional aesthetics and science-fiction design.
