Add one of Paris’s most talented chefs to your collection with this POP! Disney No. 1795 figurine featuring Rémy, the hero of the Disney and Pixar film Ratatouille. Designed by Funko, it depicts the young grey rat standing with a large cooking spoon, ready to prepare a new culinary creation.

Rémy is depicted with his bluish-grey fur, lighter-coloured belly and large pink ears. His elongated muzzle, small dark nose and thin whiskers capture the key features of his appearance in the film, adapted to the rounded and expressive proportions of the POP! range.

The figurine holds a cooking spoon between its front paws. This accessory directly highlights his passion for gastronomy and sets him apart from more traditional depictions of the character. Character background and universe (Lore)

Rémy is a young rat with an exceptionally keen sense of smell and taste. Whilst the other members of his colony feed mainly on scraps, he seeks out high-quality ingredients and experiments with different flavour combinations. Pixar describes him as a true culinary genius, capable of combining ingredients with greater finesse than many human chefs.

His father, Django, wants him to use his sense of smell to detect poisoned food and protect the colony. However, Rémy dreams of a very different future: to become a chef and follow in the footsteps ofAuguste Gusteau, the famous Parisian chef and author of the book *Anyone Can Cook*.

After being separated from his family, Rémy ends up in the sewers of Paris, directly beneath the restaurant once run by Gusteau. There he meets Alfredo Linguini, a clumsy young employee in charge of taking out the rubbish. When Rémy saves a soup accidentally ruined by Linguini, the two realise they can work together.

Rémy then hides under Linguini’s chef’s hat and controls his movements by tugging at his hair. This unusual partnership combines the rat’s culinary expertise with the young man’s body – the only way for Rémy to cook in a restaurant where his presence would never be accepted.

However, the success of their dishes attracts the attention of Chef Skinner, the cook Colette and the formidable food critic Anton Ego. To win over the latter, Rémy prepares a simple ratatouille, executed with great precision. The dish awakens a childhood memory in Ego and profoundly changes his view of cooking and of Gusteau’s philosophy.

The message ‘anyone can cook’ does not mean that everyone will automatically become a great chef. Rather, it asserts that talent can emerge in the most unexpected places and should not be rejected because of its origins. The film’s central narrative hinges precisely on the conflict between Rémy’s family’s expectations, his identity as a rat and his calling as a chef.

The spoon held by this figurine directly symbolises this ambition. It portrays Rémy not as a mere animal drawn to food, but as a true chef focused on his next dish and determined to prove that talent is not the exclusive preserve of humans.
