Star Trek Into Darkness — U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 — Revell 1/500 Scale Model Kit
Recreate the famous Starfleet vessel with this model ofthe U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, inspired by the film Star Trek Into Darkness. Produced by Revell at a scale of 1/500, this kit reproduces the modern interpretation of the Enterprise seen in the alternate timeline introduced by the 2009 film Star Trek.
The model comprises 91 plastic parts to be assembled. Once completed, it measures approximately 58.8 cm in length, making it a particularly imposing display piece for a shelf or a science fiction display cabinet.
The model reproduces the ship’s main sections, notably the two-part saucer, the separate command bridge, the deflector, the sensors, the secondary hull and the warp nacelles, which consist of several elements with distinct pylons.
Numerous transparent parts are included to represent the Bussard collectors, the navigation lights and various illuminated elements of the ship. The model can also be fitted with a lighting system (sold separately), allowing the warp engines, the saucer and the technical areas of the Enterprise to be highlighted.
The kit includes a full sheet of decals, an illustrated, multilingual assembly guide and a display stand. This traditional model kit requires the use of glue and paint, which are not included.

Origin and background of the starship (Lore)
The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 is a Starfleet exploration vessel under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. Its mission is to explore new worlds, make contact with unknown civilisations and defend the United Federation of Planets against threats encountered beyond its borders.
The version depicted in this model belongs to the alternate timeline often referred to as the Kelvin Timeline. This reality differs from the classic Star Trek continuity following a temporal event that altered the history of Kirk, Spock and Starfleet.
The Enterprise retains the general silhouette that has become iconic for the franchise: a wide main saucer, a central secondary hull and two warp nacelles connected by pylons. Its design is, however, more modern, with smoother lines, a redesigned deflector and warp nacelles featuring particularly striking lighting effects.
Warp drive enables the ship to travel at speeds faster than that of light. The nacelles generate the warp field, whilst the main deflector shields the Enterprise from particles and debris encountered during its high-speed journeys.
In *Star Trek Into Darkness*, released in 2013, the Enterprise plays a central role as Kirk pursues a former Starfleet agent responsible for several attacks. This mission takes the crew beyond the Federation’s usual boundaries and puts the young captain’s loyalty, judgement and leadership skills to the test.
The main crew includes Spock, science officer and first officer; Leonard McCoy, ship’s doctor; Nyota Uhura, communications officer; Montgomery Scott, chief engineer; as well as Hikaru Sulu and Pavel Chekov.
During the film, the Enterprise sustains significant damage whilst facing a far more powerful warship. Despite its role as an exploration vessel, it then becomes the crew’s main refuge and a symbol of their solidarity in the face of a threat far exceeding their initial capabilities.
This Revell model recreates the modern cinematic version of the Enterprise, with its sleek proportions, numerous transparent sections and the option to add lighting to replicate its appearance whilst flying through space.
