Origin and world of the character (Lore)
The Clicker represents the third stage of infection by the mutant Cordyceps fungus, occurring after several years of incubation in the human host. At this stage of contamination, the fungus has completely colonised and perforated the victim's skull, rendering him completely blind but giving him absolutely sensitive hearing. To locate itself in space and track down its prey, the monster emits sinister, shrill clicks of its tongue, using a biological echolocation system. Endowed with superhuman physical strength and protected by the armoured fungus plates on their faces, the Slammers are among the most feared and deadly predators in the ruins of ancient America.
